This weekend Alex and I explored Seattle. I'm still a tourist at this point, so I'm still trying to learn as much as I can about my new city. Saturday during the day we went to the Freemont Fair, which was an absolute blast. I'm not usually a parade kinda person, but this one was weird in all the right ways. It kicks off with a naked bike ride (not kidding), then tons of eccentric marching bands and performers. If you like weird stuff like I do, you'll love this festival.

We made friends with the Freemont Troll on the way to the parade. Alex paid the troll toll.

Sunday we decided to head to the Public Market on Pike street. If you come to Seattle, this is a must-see. The market consists of blocks upon blocks of vendors with fresh fish, produce, jewelry vendors, and of course fresh flower bouquets. The flowers were so beautiful and only like $10 each!

Right across from the public market is the original Starbucks. (Looks the same as any other Starbucks, but eh, whatever.)

Oh, and we kicked off our morning with a little brunch because we're fancy. Lola has the best eggs benedict I've ever tasted. This place had a wait, and even though we got right in because we were able to sit at the bar, after eating their food, I'd say it's worth a wait.

I knew I liked Seattle as soon as we got here, and I'm loving it more and more everyday.

Contrary to popular belief, I re-wear my clothes. (I proved that with THE favorite shirt I rarely took off  during college.) I've decided I like this shirt, last seen here, even more when I wear it open as jacket.
